Water education programs

We’ve offered water education to students since the mid-1970s. We support learning activities that build awareness about water resources.

Free water education programming

Irvine Ranch Water District offers free STEM-based water education programming to local schools serving students in grades K–12. To speak with an IRWD representative about our programs, call 949-453-5500 or email info@IRWD.com.

Assemblies and field trips (Grades K–4)

We partner with Discovery Cube Orange County to provide free Next Generation Science Standards water education with grade-specific assemblies and field trips to the Cube’s Sea Lab exhibits, where students learn how our actions affect marine life.

Teachers can book free assemblies and field trips for their classes at discoverycube.org/orange-county/IRWD.

Watershed education (Grades 5–12)

Our partnership with Orange County Coastkeeper provides free in-class water lab workshops and field trips to IRWD’s San Joaquin Marsh, where students will explore the science of water and ecological concepts through hands-on learning.

Teachers can learn more by contacting Cosette at cosette@coastkeeper.org.
