A project to improve water filtration for recycled water used in Newport Coast and Irvine.
The project calls for the construction of a new building, facility electrical system, and the installation of a new filtration system inside the building.
A temporary staging area has been set up at the south end of the reservoir to store equipment and materials. That area will be cleared once the project is completed.
Construction began in March 2023 and is expected to be completed in September 2025. Please return to this site for updates as they occur.

Work will continue on the control and filter buildings, and a storm drain manhole will be installed at the top of the reservoir access road.
