IRWD is upgrading the water tank and pump station at Santiago Canyon and Silverado Canyon roads.
This project is to enhance water storage and pumping reliability for Santiago, Silverado, Williams, and Modjeska canyons.
Construction began in fall 2022 and is expected to be completed in 2025. Please return to this site for updates as they occur.
Roofing and fence installation will be completed early in the month.
Other construction will be focused on the installation of above-ground conduits.
Leak and water quality testing will take place later in the month.
Replace a 150,000-gallon steel storage tank with a 1.3 million-gallon concrete tank.
Install a new, state-of-the-art pump station to increase pumping reliability and redundancy.
Construct a pump building with space to serve as an outpost for the District in emergencies.
Install new disinfection facilities for water quality management.
Provide a storage building for IRWD equipment routinely used throughout the canyon areas.
Other improvements such as electrical and instrumentation upgrades.
