Program details
The maximum flow rate for kitchen and bathroom faucets is generally 2.2 gallons per minute (gpm) but more efficient fixtures can save water and money. As part of the Free Faucet Aerator Program, IRWD will provide up to 12 free 0.5 gpm aerators for commercial customers to install on faucet heads in their business and multi-family property managers to install on faucet heads of dwelling units.
Installing these tamperproof 0.5 gpm aerators will decrease water use without the need to replace the entire faucet. The aerators are tamper-proof and come with a key for installation and removal.

How to participate
Submit the form below. Please allow three to five business days for IRWD to review and approve your application. Then, a water efficiency specialist will contact you to pick up your free aerators from IRWD headquarters at 15600 Sand Canyon Ave., in Irvine. You have 30 days from the pick-up date to install your new 0.5 gpm aerators and submit post-installation photos.
Program rules:
- The business receiving the aerators must be a customer of the Irvine Ranch Water District.
- Only commercial customers are eligible for the Commercial Faucet Aerator Program.
- The application form must be completely filled out.
- Aerators must be installed, and post-installation photos must be submitted within 30 days. IRWD will contact you if post-installation photos are not submitted within 30 days. Uninstalled aerators must be returned.
- One tamper-proof installation key, to prevent theft, per account number.
